The NLRA is set to invade the Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN, for one of the staples on the series schedule, the Labor Day Double Header. The Viking Speedway is the biggest and fastest track, the only remaining half mile on the tour. The track sits on the Douglas County Fairgrounds, and will host the series for the 40th and 41st time, the record holder for any track the series has visited

This Saturday night, August the 26th, the NLRA will race the eleventh event of the series 20th anniversary season, returning for the second and final time this season to the high-banked quarter-mile Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN.
Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S Schill Construction MB Custom, won his first NLRA series feature of the season at Greenbush on July 15th. The win was Seng's fourth in Greenbush. Another big week lies ahead during this 20th anniversary season for the NLRA and it's series regulars, as the series will run three races in as many days, with races at the Red River Co-op, River Cities, and Devils Lake Speedways.

The stretch will feature a return for the first time in eleven years to the Sheyenne River Speedway in Lisbon, ND. Mike Spieker photo. Ricky Weiss won his first NLRA series feature of the season Saturday night at the Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND. The win is Weiss' 19th career series victory, and his first with the series in nearly two years. Weiss took the lead from early leader Dave Smith, then held off a hard charging Dustin Strand at the line for the victory.

Dustin Strand swept both ends of the double header last Friday night at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND. Strand, driver of the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing Millenium, lead flag-to-flag in both features, collecting his 13th and 14th career series wins, passing both Mitch Johnson and Jeff Wildung to move alone into fifth on the all time wins list.

This Friday night, the series will try to complete it's first two events of the season, as the River Cities Speedway will once again play host to the NLRA. The night will include double Late Model features, including the one that was lost nearly two weeks ago during the World of Outlaws program.
The NLRA will begin its' 20th season of competition in a big way this weekend, co-heading a double dose of action in the Valley with the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series. The season starts this Friday night at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND, where the series is scheduled to run its' 30th series points race.
